Your health is important to us so our practice follows the most advanced guidelines for instrument sterilization and infection control from the Center of Disease Control and the American Dental Association.  Everything is properly disposed of in an eco-friendly manner or sterilized in our ultramodern facility.

Reverse Osmosis Water System

We provide safe drinking water throughout our office through our Reverse Osmosis water filtration system. This method only improves taste, but also removes pollutants such as bacteria, pesticides, viruses, and various chemicals and wastes  from the tap water.

Sterlization

We first disinfect all of our instruments in an ultrasonic to remove debris.  Then we place them in a high temperature steam sterlization which kills all bacteria and spores.  We continually monitor all our equipment so it adheres to the CDC and ADA standards.

Mercury-Free and separation of old silver fillings

We safely remove and dispose of the mercury from fillings.  Without an amalgam separator installed, this material isn’t filtered and is flushed into our water systems which pollutes them. We here at Sharkus Hometown Dentistry are Mercury-Free.
